What are the different types of product liability?
People can suffer injuries and illnesses due to a seemingly limitless number of products; however, when it comes to filing a product liability claim against a manufacturer for making an unsafe product, there are three general categories under which almost all product liability claims can be placed. These include: design defects, in which a product’s underling design renders it inherently dangerous and/or defective; manufacturing defects, in which the manufacturing process renders some or all instantiations of the product dangerous; and marketing defects, in which a failure to warn consumers about dangers associated with the product may lead to injuries.
