One killed, several others wounded in Dixie Highway vehicular crash
Dixie Highway in Louisville, Kentucky was temporarily closed to public traffic for several hours after a head-on collision between a blue Honda Accord and a silver Dodge Dart. Sadly, the incident resulted in one individual dying at the scene of the accident and three other people being transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for the treatment of unknown injuries.
According to preliminary investigations made by the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department, the Honda, which had two occupants, was heading north along the highway when it veered into the southbound lanes, causing a collision with the Dodge Dart, which also had two people in it.
Witness John Campbell, who had been traveling with his wife and ten-year-old daughter in a car behind the vehicles involved in the accident, said that the first vehicle he checked on had unconscious but breathing occupants while the second vehicle contained a woman in her mid-70s who was not breathing after the crash happened.
