One dies in Outer Loop vehicular accident
A woman lost her life and another was injured on Saturday, October 22 just before 5:30 a.m. in a hit-and-run accident near the corner of Outer Loop and Grade Lane in Louisville, Kentucky.
According to Louisville Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Alicia Smiley, the two women were riding in a Dodge Caliber westbound along the Outer Loop when a Volkswagen Jetta turning onto the road from Grade Lane collided with their vehicle. This incident caused the two women to get out of their vehicle. As they were standing near their car and surveying the damage the collision brought on, a Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck headed east on Outer Loop crashed into the two women and their vehicle. The driver of the pickup truck left the scene of the accident. One of the women died because of her mortal injuries at the scene while the other woman was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of her injuries of an unknown nature.
